Walk/Run event to raise money for breast cancer research. The Mall of America parking lot is used to gather participants and is the start and finish of the race. There are tents set up for information and some vendors have food such as yogurt and bananas. The tents are set up the night before and are down and gone by noon the next day.
Will consider these options for next year.
Trash Disposal: 22.86 Recycling: 20.46
Allied Waste provided 100's of cardboard trash boxes that were placed in the lot and along the course. Each location had one for trash and one with a top for recycling. Vendors and volunteers were instructed where to put trash and recycling in 12 largely labeled 30 yard roll off boxes when event was over.
